Founder’s Note
I’m Tanner, the creator of ApolloPoet.
I’ve always loved giving personal and thoughtful gifts, especially ones that make a person feel seen and understood.
The idea for ApolloPoet came from seeing how AI can be used to create personalized children's picture books. While the concept was exciting, the results often showed visual bias and felt a bit generic from book to book. I liked the idea of leveraging AI to create personalized books and started thinking about what AI does well, specifically how it takes grounded input and turns it into creative short-form writing.
That is when it clicked for me. Poetry is the perfect medium.
Poems need honesty, context, and intention. When guided by real memories, stories, and reflections, AI can help transform those moments into poems that capture what makes a relationship meaningful.
Not everyone has the time, skill, or confidence to write something meaningful from scratch. When guided thoughtfully, AI can help remove those barriers and make it easier for people to turn what they already feel into something they can give.
I spent a year developing ApolloPoet, testing and refining each iteration with friends, family, and my girlfriend to ensure the result felt worthy of a thoughtful present I would be proud for anyone to give.
ApolloPoet officially launched in December 2025, and my hope is that it helps people give gifts that are meaningful, personal, and lasting.
